We have a banner ad on our home page that promotes auto loans.

The link on this graphic goes to our Vehicle Financing page. From the vehicle financing page, the user has the option to then click the apply now button to apply for a new auto loan.

We are being asked to track how many clicks on this graphic lead to an application start and complete. The SDC profile in WebTrends has a custom report: to tracks the number of clicks on the graphic.

The actual application funnel data is managed in a separate profile say Prof2.

Is there a way that we can correlate the clicks on the home page ad to the number applications that are started and finished in the Prof2 profile?

Within the prof2 profile there are two scenario analysis reports: Home Equity Application and Vehicle Financing.

Can you please help me to find a solution?

Thanks,

It sounds like you are trying to bridge numbers between two reports. In WebTrends, that will never happen perfectly. For a number of different reasons, the two numbers won't line up.

That being said, you could do some off-line math comparing the number of clicks on your banner in the first profile to the number of initial hits in your scenarios. Get a ratio of visits the banner represents, then just apply the scenario's conversion ratios back by percentage to the banner's original metrics.

Not the most scientific method, but the only way you'll bridge this info. The proper way to do it would be to reanalyze with the appropriate report level filters on your scenarios (to only include traffic that came specifically from the banner of interest).
