is there any difference if i have a for example a WT.srch=1 parameter in the source code or in the url as a parameter?

for example for setting up a custom report... is it both a webtrends query parameter or where are the differences ?

Nope. As long as your parameter gets picked up by the JS code, it doesn't matter.
