I have the fixes for 8.0d and 8.1a and will email them to you if you email me with your address. They are big - 12 and 23 MB respectively - and therefore won't upload to here. You can also get an ftp download by calling tech support.

Hi Chris,

I´m a bit confused now. I have wrote an E-Mail to tech support and the answer was:

quote:
The site certificate has expired but there is no patch. The "fix" so to speak is upgrading to 8.5 when it is released. 8.5 will have an updated certificate. If people are getting this message they can accept and run the cert to have the message go away. The functionality of the product is unhindered by this as long as it is accepted.

I will ask the support guy again for the patch. If this won´t be succesful I would really appreciate if you can send me the patches:

bhering @ timetoact . de

Thanks,
Ben

Ben,
Tech Support continues to give "us" the same answer which is now even more insulting.

I had hoped the Webtrends monitored these forums and threads such as this to learn what it is that the customers are experiencing both good and bad.

Hearing from 2D and Chris that the fix exists, while continuing to be told by support that is doesn't and that we need to upgrade is frustrating.

I re-opened my ticket 2 days ago based on new information, and have not gotten an answer yet.

At 23 meg, Chris' offer to e-mail it won't work as our systems won't take anything that large. And, not sure Webtrends would appreciate my making it available via an FTP server.

Call tech support. When I called, they sent me ftp information leading to two big files, one for 8.1 and one for 8.0.

They are obviously not doing a good job of getting back to people with open tickets, but on the other hand I think the timing of my call yesterday was good. At first they said it would be available later this month, then I got a call about 5 minutes later saying it was available now, followed by an email with the ftp info.

The guy who called me back was named Randy so if the person you talk to gives you the wrong answer, have them check with him. Be nice, he's new, and he checked his information and called me back quickly.

I also asked tech support of webtrends a bit more clearly that I need this patch and the anser was that the info was released "literally 5 minutes ago".

I swear the power of this forum is the only reason we got we needed on this particular instance.
I've sent mail to supoprt and just received access to the newly signed files.

Thanks to all who persisted on this one. - - Dave

I kinda think you're right Dave, and you yourself were the Persistence Guy in this one. Thanks!

Just when you thought this thread was done. - not - .

I've already provided feedbackto supoprt, but need to update here as well.

There is an install.bat script provided with the files for updating. Depending on your configuration, it may or may not work for you.

There seems to be an "assumption" in the script as to the path/location of the "storage" directory. The script assumes it is in thesame directory structure as Webtrends application.

In my case, storage is on the SAN in another directory strucutre as it is expected to be where the largest usage of files will be.

Moved files manually, per the Readme.txt file provided and ALL appear to be well.

Only time will tell, but at first glance, the secuirty warning did not appear when I accessed my report.

Hi

It looks like this topic is quite old but i'm encountering the same expired certificate issue on a 8.0d.

I'm new to this community and haven't managed to find a download section with the patch mentionned above.

Can someone help please ?

TIA
