I am trying to export reports but it fails without any error message. I have tried from I.E firefox but with the same results.

you need to check your last update for JAVA

here is the new version for Java, try to install this firstly

did that but no luck. i tried to uninstall the exporter software but it fails . is there a way to remove it cleanly and see if it prompts me top inatall it when i try to export a report?

Go to system management -> add or remove programms -> deinstall it.

Download the report exporter again. If you have xp, you need to run the .bat

Yah.no worry.this is a common issue. I had this issue before as well, I summarized the following steps I did

1. system management > add/remove program> check your JAVA version make sure you install the most recent one before you install report exporter

2. system management > add/remove program>remove exporter

3. you can manually download by following this KB

Or you can try to log in your UI and download automatically

4.install your report exporter

5. If this is still not working, check this article in KB

I removed all java versions, removed exporter and then installed the latest jre but when i tried installing the exporter while generating a report, i get this error

Installation failed. WebTrends Report Exporter was not installed.

have you manually download and install the exporter installer package?

If yes, what exporter did you install (the msi or the .bat in a subfolder)?
