Hi,
This should have a simple answer. If I use one DataSource for multiple domains. How do I filter this on separate profiles? I have tried this: *.mydomain.com/* I can't seem to pickup any hits even if I re-analyize the profile everytime I change the filter. Am I missing something? Help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Dr.Div |

Hello Dr. - interesting question you pose here. Have you had a look at your raw logs? Are those multiple varied domains in the logs in the columns they should be (hostname?)??
As things are now, are you getting reports of all the domains mashed together? Looking forward to learning more about what's going on here.... Regards, MitchellT |

It may be simple but it's surprising how often this question comes up. The setup screens need to be more clear.
I am guessing that perhaps your hit filter was based on URL or Address instead of Multi-Homed Domain filter. Check for that. Also, make sure, as Mitchell said, that the domain info actually is in the logs. It is often unlogged. Also, the string *.mydomain.com probably won't work since the example on the setup screen for domain filters suggests that wildcards aren't allowed. Instead, use this: www.mydomain.com mydomain.com Note that this kind of filter requires you to list all the possibilities, separated by a space. Chris G |

Thank you gentlemen. Multi-Homed Domain was what I needed. Thank you for your help.
Thanks, Dr. Div |
